Invisalign: Helping You Find A Lost Smile

Invisalign: Helping You Find A Lost Smile

Take a moment to clear your mind; I want you to imagine something:

You are in your car, and boy are you lost. The GPS on your phone isn’t working like it should, and there you are, driving aimlessly in an unfamiliar place. Oh, and did I mention it’s getting dark outside?

You pull along the road at a gas station in the hopes of getting some old-school directions, but when the kindly gas station manager draws you a map, you look at the map with an expression best described as completely confused: It looks like less of a map and more like a diagram for for an atomic nucleus.

If you have ever been on the road and gotten lost, then you know what I am talking about.

But if you have ever received confusing, criss-crossing directions, then that’s kind of what it’s like to have a smile whose teeth are crooked and misaligned.

Think about it: Trying to guide your toothbrush and your floss along the odd contours of your crooked teeth is almost like driving at night without your headlights in an unfamiliar place.

And when people see your imperfect smile and all of its strange angles, it is a lot like looking at that strange map, because they will be too distracted by what seems obviously wrong, even though they don’t know what your natural smile might look like.

Indeed, just as the shortest distance between two points is usually a straight line, a straight smile is easy on the eyes, and can help get you where you want to go quicker and with greater confidence.

The alternative is to remain lost and in the dark, so to speak, without any guarantee that that those crooked lines, whether they’re on a map or in your mouth, will take you anywhere other than where you already are.

But all is not completely lost even if your smile seems that way, because I can offer a discreet orthodontic solution that will correct your teeth without the need for traditional metal braces. It’s called Invisalign, and it could be just what you need to find your way again.

What Is Invisalign?

When you think of braces, chances are that you think of those big, hulking, and clumsy looking steel contraptions from your high school days. Lots of wires, lots of metal, and unfortunately, lots of unwanted comments and stares.

Invisalign, on the other hand, can offer the same kind of smile correction treatment without such an unwieldy metallic device taking up space in your mouth or the mouth of a loved one.

Regardless of your age, you can achieve a straighter smile thanks to the technology behind Invisalign, which uses clear plastic aligners, which kind of look like athletic mouthguards, to realign your teeth over the course of about a year.

The aligners themselves are based on a mold I’ll take of your smile. This will make sure that the aligners fit perfectly and therefore comfortably. It’s a level of comfort you just cannot get with traditional braces, whose metal wires poking your cheeks can take some getting used to, to say the least.

And they won’t draw any unwanted attention to themselves, either. The durable, heat-treated plastic that is used in my Invisalign aligners are so clear that nobody will be able to tell that you are wearing them unless you tell them first. When you combine Invisalign’s level of comfort with the privacy afforded by this clear thermoplastic, even you might forget that you’re wearing them!

Are You A Good Candidate?

Before I can make a mold of your smile and order your custom-fitted Invisalign retainers, I must examine your smile to see if you would be a good candidate for this increasingly popular smile correction treatment.

But I won’t be able to make that determination if you insist, like a stubborn driver, on finding your way out of this mess on your own.

You don’t have to travel alone anymore on your journey toward a healthier, straighter, and more attractive smile, so please pick up your phone and give me a call at (614) 314-7534. You can also request an online appointment by filling out a simple online questionnaire, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

There is no reason for your smile to remain lost when you can have the clear direction offered by Invisalign, courtesy of your new West Chester dentist!

I look forward to meeting you!
